40 Hour Famine Backpack Challenge
For the first time in 42 years, 40 Hour Famine has a new challenge.
In 2017, the 40 Hour Famine has changed! You’ll join thousands of others across Australia as you stand up to the biggest humanitarian crisis of our generation. The refugee and displaced persons crisis. Globally, there are more than 65.5 million people who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict. More than half of them are children.
When you take up this year's 40 Hour Famine, 11 - 13 August, you'll commit to living out of your backpack for 40 hours to raise funds for refugee and displaced children. Pack the essentials – food, water, warmth; whatever you think you’ll need to get through the 40 hours. By joining the challenge, you’ll begin to understand what it’s like for these children; leaving almost everything behind.
